THE QUESTION

Hi All! It's the guy that made this budget nutrition guide. Well, after plenty of trialing and testing I have finally managed to re-create the Maurten 100 style gel. My previous recipe was based on the 320 that was then used with significantly less water to create a gel. That is a MUCH easier recipe to use and I would not necessarily recommend using this recipe unless you MUST have a maurten 100 style gel. I do prefer this gel, its easier to slurp down but its definitely a little more involved to make. So like I said, if you are happy with the other recipe - do not proceed So without any further ado, here is my recipe breakdown for making 24g carb gels, plus a full batch for 10 gels,...

TL;DR

Meal prepping can be frustrating, but focusing on systems and frameworks, not just recipes, can help you create sustainable, stress-free nutrition habits that work for your lifestyle.

THE RESPONSE

What’s actually going on here

I've been there, my friend. That feeling of frustrated hopelessness when you've tried and failed at meal prepping more times than you can count. The mental energy it drains, the money wasted, the guilt and self-doubt - it's a vicious cycle that leaves you wondering if you'll ever get a handle on this whole "adult nutrition" thing. The core issue is that most nutrition advice focuses on the "what" - the specific meals, macros, and portion sizes. But it neglects the "how" - the systems and frameworks that make healthy eating sustainable, even on a busy schedule. That's why strategies like the Potluck Contribution System and the Flexible Integration Method from our "The Kitchen Chaos Fix" guide are so powerful. They give you a step-by-step process to streamline your grocery shopping, prep, and meal assembly, taking the guesswork out of nourishing yourself. Start by resetting your foundation with the Strategic Ingredient Overlap System - stock your kitchen with versatile, nutrient-dense staples that can be easily combined into complete, satisfying meals. Then use the Tactical Execution steps to batch-prep elements like protein, fiber, and flavorful sauces ahead of time. Stash them in your fridge or freezer, and you've got a head start on throwing together quick, balanced meals on even your busiest days. When you have these proven systems in place, healthy eating stops feeling like a chore and becomes a natural part of your lifestyle. You'll save time, money, and mental energy - and you'll feel the difference in your energy levels, digestion, and overall wellbeing. No more drowning in conflicting advice or wasting food. Just a streamlined, sustainable approach to nourishing yourself, without the hassle.
