THE QUESTION

Race: Irish 3/4 Marathon - Longwood Co.Meath GOALS Finish the distance - Yes Finish under 3:15:00 - Yes Finish under 3:00:00 - Yes Run the entire distance without stopping - No RACE This course starts in the village of Longwood and runs out through various country roads around another two local communities, also taking in some beautiful scenery along the canal greenways. Weather at the start was dry, a light wind, so the first 5-8km was nice, in fact the first 5km was very fast as we had the wind at our backs. Into the second 10km stretch the rain and wind picked up, and lasted to the very end making the final 21.6km more of a challenge. The event was very well marshalled, lots of water and support, loads of locals out cheering and offering sweets and water. I got a little
