M/34 Backstory: I was diagnosed in August of 23 as Type 2 when I went to an Urgent care for an unrelated issue and after running some tests found out my A1C was at 10.7. Of course initially I was kind of bummed because I had a family history of Type 2 and had seen firsthand what it could do if not addressed. So that kind of kicked started me to start getting it under control. Started going to a doctor regularly, they put me on metformin and then Ozempic. I cut out soda and reduced my carb intake a lot. Lost weight and by October my A1C came down to a 6.1 and then in December to a 5. Since then my A1C stayed at a 5. I’ve stayed away from soda and sweets however do indulge in more carbs now a days. Hang in there, I know how frustrating it can be to feel like you're doing everything right but your blood sugar is still out of whack. I've been there myself, and it's a real struggle. The good news is, there are some specific steps you can take that can make a big difference. The root of the problem is often that the body's built-in "pattern recognition" system gets thrown off, and that cascades into a range of other imbalances. Things like inconsistent sleep, high stress, and even some of the common "fixes" we're told to try can all disrupt that delicate system. But when you get it back on track using the right protocols, that's when you start to see the stability you're looking for. A great place to start is by taking a close look at your supplement timing. Making sure you're getting key nutrients like chromium, berberine, and alpha-lipoic acid at the right times can be a game-changer. The Metabolic Flexibility Protocol in our guide walks you through this in detail. You'll also want to focus on resetting your sleep debt and optimizing your hydration - the Travel and Special Situations Protocol has some really helpful tips there. And don't underestimate the power of managing your stress levels. When cortisol is out of whack, it can wreak havoc on your blood sugar. The Recovery Acceleration Protocol gives you a step-by-step system for getting that under control. When you put all these pieces together using the frameworks in our guide, that's when you start to see dramatic improvements. Your glucose levels stabilize, your energy skyrockets, and you finally feel like you have the control you've been searching for. It's life-changing, and I'm excited for you to experience that.
